NICKY Blair, the middle son of Prime Minister Tony Blair, is believed to be set to follow his father's footsteps by studying at Oxford University.
Press reports have suggested the 17-year-old, who is currently preparing for his A-level exams this summer, is set to go to St Anne's College later this year. While his father read law at St John's College and his mother studied the same subject at the London School of Economics, Nicky is said to be aiming to read history at St Anne's, which has the reputation of being one of Oxford's liveliest colleges.
The university and college have both refused to confirm the rumours, as has the Prime Minister's office. A spokesman for Mr Blair said: "We do not comment on matters involving the Prime Minister's children."
Contrary to press reports Nicky Blair will not be joined as a student in Oxford by the actress, Keira Knightley, 18, who recently appeared alongside Johnny Depp in the Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean and made her name in Bend it like Beckham. National papers had reported she was due to enrol at Oxford Brookes University later this year, but a spokesman for her agent told the Oxford Mail: "It's not true."
